Columbia is the dense grid of early 1900s bungalows just north of downtown, walkable and tight-knit, the kind of neighborhood where the front porches almost touch the sidewalk. For a concrete crew that age and that layout mean a particular set of jobs: cracked and heaved front walkways, settling porch piers and steps, and the basement-slab and crawlspace moisture that comes with century-old homes on older fill.
Most of our Columbia work is the everyday stuff that keeps an old bungalow solid and safe. We replace cracked sidewalks and driveway aprons, re-pour or re-pier settling porch foundations so the steps stop pulling away from the house, and fix the crawlspace and basement moisture that rots framing and makes a slab sweat. Nothing exotic, just the careful, code-correct repairs these older homes need.
